It was great to be back at EESA! Although EESA is my home range, I don’t get the chance to go as often as I’d like. By way of background, I used to be a member of the Union Station club here in downtown Toronto until so-called Mayor Miller shut it down several years ago. As the former president of EESA, Stormbringer was kind enough to take me in as a member and I have renewed my membership every year since as a show of gratitude. However, I live in Toronto so it is quite the trek to get down there and usually have to do my shooting elsewhere. Still, I have attended several open-houses and other events like bachelor parties and group shoots. I have brought quite a few new shooters to EESA over the years. Today was no exception as I was accompanied by another new shooter, Chris.
I rented a Mercedes GLK for the drive as I did not want to put so many KMs on my car (and I still have my summer tires)…all packed up and ready to go…
And here we are! We made the drive in under 2.5 hours..pretty nice scenery on the way.
After taking care of some paperwork, we stopped for a quick bite at Killer’s Café.
Then on shootin! We decided to go with handguns first on the outdoor range. Our target
And our selection for the day.
Including zombie ammo!
I started with my Ed Brown Molon Labe edition.
The gun is still not broken in so it was jamming quite a bit. Fortunately a fellow CGNer, wooten85, was shooting next to us and he was able to help me out by field stripping and oiling up my gun..thanks so much!!!!!! That’s what I love about EESA..always lots of CGNers around. Here he is testing my gun.
Then Chris had a turn.
Next we tried my Glock 20…for those of you have seen it in the past, I took off the laser and tac-lite as they were causing feeding problems.

Chris
Wooten85
Finally my Bond Arms Snake Slayer…this thing kills your hand! I tried with some crazy personal defense ammo that has both disks and balls

Wooten85
And wooten85’s friend
Wooten85 was also kind enough to let us try his guns…I had shot blackpowder rifles before but never a handgun so this was a fun (and smokey) new experience.
Not every day you see a flintlock in action!
Ok on to the shotguns!
First up, my beloved Benelli M4 LE
Chris
Next my Mossberg Chainsaw. When I saw pics of the Chainsaw at the SHOT show a couple of years ago I knew that I had to have it. The fact that it was so controversial and drew such hatred on the Internet made it even more desirable lol. I ordered one at the introductory rate and got one of the first ones in Canada (coincidentally, my Ed Brown Molon Labe and Benelli M4 LE were also among the first in Canada at the time I bought them), It has sat in my gun safe since and today was my first time shooting it. And man am I happy I bought it! It was AWESOME!!! I was expecting it to break my wrist but the design works really well as your arm on the pump handle keeps the muzzle down..it is SUPER fun!
Chris liked it too.
The target did not
All done shooting, we headed out for wings. I have been wanting to visit Wingmaster for at least 3 years and was happy to learn that it was on the way home.
This place has over 200 flavours including vanilla coke, gummi bears, chocolate and other wild things.
For those of you who read about my “wing incident” you know I love hot food and I was really looking forward to their $20 dumbass challenge. Aside from my wing incident, I have been able to beat every other challenge. Unfortunately they no longer offer this but it doesn’t matter as their new Blackenstein sauce is equally hot. The owner (shown below) was nice enough to give me two of his new Cong size wings (not even on the menu yet) in this sauce
I could barely finish ONE and it took a good half hour and lots of other food to recover. I hate to admit it, but I don’t think I could finish the challenge if it comes back.
Chris had the peanut butter honey
All in all a super fun day.
