So I put a post on Facebook asking my friends what to do to day and as luck would have it, Peter from Vortex tipped me off about Glock Day at Easthill (thanks!) so I called my shooting buddy Tom and we made the hour long drive out east.
Amchar was on site with much of the Glock lineup including the G17 Gen5, G19, G48, G34, and some Black Box customs to name a few.
I really liked the super aggressive stippling on the Black Box custom
Quite a contrast to the single stack 48, which is a lot thinner than the standard Glocks
We hit the range next where they had 15 Glocks on the line, available to shooters with and without a PAL
Tom shot a custom with G17 slide and the frame modified to G19 size (so the opposite of the G19X which has a G17 frame with a G19 slide).
I opted for a stock G34
Next back to the store…more Glocks in the restricted gun room, all with special pricing (and no taxes) for the event
I didn’t take a lot of pics here but in addition to the Glocks we saw lots of SIGs, Walthers, Desert Eagles, CZ, and my personal favourite, the S&W TRR8, which has been on “my list” for a long time
Wow that Tikka T3x Arctic sure pops against the black guns
Nice selection of holsters from Gray Fox Strategic
This mini knife was so cute
More pics of that great taxidermy
Always great to visit Easthill.
All done with Glock Day, we stopped in to FOC on the way home…where we found a super rare FN FS2000! I haven’t seen one of these in years (and never shot one)
Quite a unique gun…flip up latch to allow you to inspect any malfunctions
Front ejection
Also a great selection of Daniel Defense including one with a folding stock!
The MK18 is one of my favourites from Daniel Defense
The Kimber Warrior is another one on “my list”
Speaking of rare, the 1918 Colt Black Army 1911
All in all a great day…glad I made that post on Facebook.
